Foundation for Universal Responsibility of His Holiness the Dalai Lama with The India International Centre present a talk by Dr. John Stanley, Sr biologist & Researcher, at McGill University [Canada], the University of Geneva [Switzerland] and the U.K. Health Protection Agency.

He has published over 90 papers in international scientific journals, is
a Member of the New York Academy of Sciences and a practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism.

Talk Series: The Culture of Breath (August 2008)

The Space of Breath in the Kashmiri Shaivagamas
By Dr. Bettina Bäumer, well-known Indologist from Austria, living and working in Varanasi since 1967. Her main fields of research and publication are: Kashmir Shaivism, Indian aesthetics, Silpasastra and temple architecture of Orissa, and interreligious dialogue.

Sandhyavandhanam: Meditation on the Sun

Breathing is a pre-requisite for Meditation. The most acceptable meditation is Sun Meditation which is best done through gestures

Painting Exhibition: "Feelings from Tibet" (August 2008)

One of the recepients of the FUR Take Off Grants 2008. Mr. Ngawang Tseten and Mr. Tenzin Dhargyal, teachers at Suja school organized the painting exhibition. The paintings were done by the children of TCV School Suja. They have recently arrived from Tibet and as such have first hand information about the reality of living in Tibet in the present day. Moreover, most of them are very good painters. The exhibition was held in the school facility in Bir, in Northern India.

Third Tibetan Film Festival (July 2008)

INDIA INTERNATIONAL CENTRE with FOUNDATION FOR UNIVERSAL RESPONSIBILITY
Of HH The Dalai Lama present TIBETAN FILM FESTIVAL on July 5th to 8th 2008 at the IIC Auditorium.

It will begin with the screening of 'The Lion's Roar', a 50-minute film directed by Mark Elliot on the life of 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, one of the most revered figures in Tibet. Some of the other films included are Tintin in Tibet, Kundun, Windhorse, The Saltmen of Tibet and many more.
